I (18F) really struggle with communication in friendships. I understand how incredibly vital it is and I really want to learn how to do it well. I always keep my mouth shut because I either don’t want someone to be mad at me or I dont want to hurt their feelings. But this year is calling for a lot of communication and confrontation from me, and I really need to start working on it. Does anyone know any books that help with that kind of thing? Looking for one that doesn’t just say a whole lot of nothing. A lot of self-help books I’ve read have made my brain hurt and done nothing for me.

  1. I wrote one that covers a lot of things about communicating and connecting better with people. It’s called “Change Your Vibe: How to Lifehack Your Way to Social Success.” No link because that’s against forum rules but you can find it on Amazon. One of the reasons I wrote it is I do think a lot of self-help books can be overly dense (with researchy ideas) and not so helpful.
