I‘m an introvert currently doing my semester exchange in Seoul. I deleted, re-downloaded, deleted,redownloaded Instagram a few times and lost many friends on the way. Well, since my childhood I never really had friends because of my social anxiety but now I‘m lucky with one amazing friend.
Anyways, I made an Instagram account again to connect with people here and make friendships faster. From my experience, many people found it weird when I said that I didn‘t have an Instagram account. And I do want to get to know people but I feel like Instagram is the most used app for people in my age (24) and younger to connect. The thing is.. since I don‘t have many friends I have a low follower count. Yes, just like many I do have my own insecurities. So, I feel reluctant exchanging Insta‘s or giving out my Insta name if someone asks for it.
So my question is if there are people willing to exchange Insta names privately through dm‘s? Maybe we can start a new friendship if the vibes are right? But I don‘t expect anything, I‘m ok with just exchanging names.
(I know that the follower count doesn‘t show a person‘s value, so please refrain from such comments)
