Time and hair growth products
I know a few guys and girls that have grown their hair out when it was short before, until the hair is long enough, it looks weird. Most of them have to get the first hair cut (to get it straight not to change size must) since starting to grow it out to make it look good.
Pretty much have to accept that it’ll look dumb sometimes as it grows. Regular trimming and good hair hygiene will help.
There is an in between state where it’s just not going to look good. Where your hair goes past your collar but it’s still too short to pull into a ponytail. Once you can pull it back into a hair tie though you are good and you can let it grow out as long as your genetics allow or until you are happy.
Gotta have balls
Some guys look good during that time and with having long hair in general. Being a metalhead sort of helps, some styles sort of clash with long hair i guess.
There’s gonna be a part where it looks bad, you just have to accept that. Hats can help. Keeping it clean helps
There’s always an awkward phase where it doesn’t look great, but I’m not self-conscious enough that that ever bothers me.
They never reached their middle school rebellious phase til now
I wore a hat. Sorry, but that was just how it went.
Lmao
Wearing a hat
Accept the fact that you are a long lost Beatle, not a bad situation. Only gets ugly when you’re middle aged and have a receding hairline…
You’ve got to still get hair cuts and style it, branch from one length of haircut to the next
who cares. look like a dumb ass. lives short, you want long hair? just don’t cut it
Who says I didn’t look like a dumbass?
Slick it back.
If its long enough tie it up so you dont have the mullet look.
I grew it during quarantine so I never left home 😂 if you want to grow it you gotta deal with it
I just didnt fucking care and let it grow
If people have a problem with it they can look into different directions
I just kinda styled it as I went.
Sorta surfer hair then kinda tried to let it fluff a little bit before it got long enough to do ponytail/braid stuff.
then I got sick of people touching it without permission and cut it all off and now I’m nearly 30 and my hair’s too thin to grow it out properly.
They didn’t. They look like tools.
When I started 1,5 years ago to grow out my hair, I decided that I would trim the sides and the back of my head and only grow the top part out. That way I wouldn’t look as ridiculous. I also dye my hair everytime i go to a hair dresser.
Ya don’t. My hair goes down just above my ass and there’s an awkward period. Deal with it and gush over your lavish locks later on. Ahhh I will forever be vain with my beautiful hair.
Three years ago, we all stayed home for a bit and didn’t go out in public much.
I haven’t had a haircut since.
Well, I did it during the pandemic when all the barbershops were closed so everybody looked bad.
Good question. I shaved my head and started growing it and it took me 2 years for it to be just past my shoulders. After about 4 months it was hat time. I wore that for about 6-8 months. I ended up growing it out past the middle of my back. Had it that way for 2 years.
I wouldn’t recommend growing your hair out though. It’s sucks taking care of it and I am always astounded by the number of girls who have long hair. It is WORK. Too much work…
I wore a lot of hats before I was able to tie it back. It looked truly awful before that point.
You probably need a hat, yes.
When I grew long hair (did it twice) I 100% looked like a dumbass until it was long enough for a ponytail.
