When I get triggered I ask myself, where is this coming from? Is this an old inner child sound I haven’t healed yet? Because if it stems from childhood, it’s likely a trigger I’m going to overreact about. I try to breath.
Also, state your boundaries. If your boundaries are crossed, you have every right to be upset. Better to communicate calmly after some time and breathing than to make a scene. My scenes never got me anywhere
