Hey Ya’ll, I’m in desperate need of help! Every time I have oral sex I always get a sore throat. Yes, I still have my tonsils. It’s really annoying & I know it’s not std or sti because it’s the same partner, but it always happens. Yes, deep throating is done.

I just want to know if there’s something I can do to prevent it. Because everywhere I look, everyone comes back to sti & std but we are clean.

Thanks in advance 🙂

  1. Perhaps don’t deep throat … not specifically for oral but in general for life, when we feel pain it is generally our body’s way of telling us to take it easy.

  2. If you deep throat you’re gonna get a sore throat at some point. You can try relaxing your throat more before taking him all the way in. But generally no, I don’t think you can prevent it. Numbing creams may help but could potentially make it worse if it’s effective and you can’t feel how deep he is. Take breaks from taking it all and go slow. Stay hydrated.

  3. I’ve gotten tonsil stones after giving head pretty regularly for a few days, you might want to check your tonsils out for any white spots or inflammation since you mentioned still having them. Pressure buildup from sucking can bring them forward. The first time I got tonsil stones they were so painfully inflamed and gross looking I asked if he had given me an STI despite knowing we’re both clean/in a monogamous relationship. Otherwise I think having a sore throat after isn’t too uncommon, it happens to me (without tonsil stones) if I go too far/suck too hard.
