should i clarify that i am interested in making friends, or would that be awkward/put too much pressure on them? i’m worried that it’ll be mistaken as asking them out.

  1. It’s not weird, but the way you ask can come off weird. I think the best way to go about it is say something along the lines “how do you feel about grabbing coffee together or study?” giving them the opportunity to consider it, think about it and you’ll get an idea of their feelings towards it

  2. that’s completely normal but if you aren’t looking for a date I’d lean more to studying together than getting coffee (maybe both study and get coffee but not just coffee)
