As an autistic woman, I sometimes don’t register expressions during conversation. I see the changes as the conversation flows, but I’m left wondering what made them look at me the way they do as some expressions I witnessed didn’t make the context of the conversation..

Does this make sense? Does anyone else experience this?

  1. Lol yah. It’s known in my personality by those close to me, that I WILL in fact ask why they looked at me the way they did. Other things too like if they could please explain WHY the joke is funny? Like, I get the joke. But why are you laughing?

Oh and sexual innuendos. I’m SORRY that we’re in a large group, but you casually dropping terms like “Bukaki” WILL be explained what that means to me right now, and if you’re embarrassed having to explain that word to me, maybe don’t say it?

Anywho, yah. I feel you. Just ask.
