Anything designer.
For some reason in my twenties I was consumed by the status a YSL bag or a pair of Louboutin shoes would afford me.
While I was in Paris, I bought a pair of those shiny black $950 pumps. That initial high was about 5 seconds when i brought them home, then almost instantly I plummeted back into reality and realized that I just spend an entire paycheck on a pair of stupid shoes AND the famous red paint on the bottom rubs off rather easily. I was 21 at the time, and I have to say that was the biggest waste of money for me.
