I am paranoid. I have a vagina, going to have oral sex with a trans man with a vagina. He has had sex with men, sometimes does not use condoms if they are regulars. He has not had sex with anyone since tested. He is on Prep and got tested a month ago and was clean. I should be extremely low risk for HIV right? I get paranoid when vagina fluids get on mine. I know HIV can take a while to show up on a test, that’s why I’m asking.

  1. Vaginal fluids usually don’t even have that much hiv in them, even if there is any. Sperm would be more dangerous.

    Very low risk if any.

  2. If you don’t feel safe, don’t do it. Dental dams might be a possibility

  3. Vagina to vagina transmission of HIV is so vanishingly rare that it’s only happened a handful of times ever. HPV is somewhat more likely- have you been vaccinated?

  4. Personally I’d pass. If he’s on prep that likely means he engages in risky enough behavior that he thinks it’s a good idea.

Might be hard to find another FTM but HIV is really serious, even with modern drugs.
