I don’t know if I’ve picked the right thing

So, I(18M), am ftm, and ive never really had a dildo- and was wondering if any other ftm or females in general would give any advice on whether or not a medium ish sized one is good to start with(for myself). The one I ordered is 7in. in total and i believe 1 1/2 inches in diameter
