welp, FedEx just told me it’d be 200 bucks to ship a 2 pound box to Australia, so you might be outta luck.
When I was living in the US I used a website called Pirate Ship. It’s one of the things I miss the most about living in the US. Huge discounts with the US Postal Service and UPS. I once sent a heavy parcel to Australia (duties paid so there were no additional customs fees upon arrival) via UPS for $60 when it would’ve costed $200 if I used the UPS website.
I think USPS has flat rate boxes. Not sure of their price but your buddy can just go to his local grocery store and stuff the box with as much as he can.
[USPS First Class International](https://www.usps.com/international/first-class-package-international-service.htm) is pretty reasonable for boxes up to 64 ounces. [Priority Mail International](https://www.usps.com/international/priority-mail-international.htm) is up to 20 pounds.
I think you are shit outta luck buddy. You are asking for a cheap way to ship things across the pacific ocean, I can’t imagine that’s cheap under any circumstance.
You understand you’re on the other side of the planet, right?
