For most men over 30, I’d imagine a good part time job is something that is low stress, you get to make your own schedule (like working on weekends or evenings), and you get to work alone or with mature coworkers.

Some ideas that come to mind are Uber/Lyft driver and food delivery. What do you think?

  1. I really want to be a short order cook. I love working a grill. Nothing makes me happier than cooking for people and I love having a system and plating everything at the same time.

  2. A friend of mine got a part time job at a large retailer packing online order pickups. He just listens to music, goes through the store, scans items, bags them, and then does it again. He says it’s actually fun.

  3. Besides my main income, I earn a few bucks doing tutoring as a side hustle. I teach math and science but would also like to teach english to ESL students. I also earn a few bucks selling journals on Amazon. Sometimes someone will ask me to teach them basic business skills 1-on-1.

My main income is from my consulting business.

  4. I work for Shipt and Instacart. Make my own hours and don’t use as much gas because I’m shopping most of the time

  5. Door dash and Uber type things are cool. Also, UPS and FEDEX have good PT work most the time.

  6. Did Uber/Lyft in my 20’s.

It is a wide range of strangers you have to interact with. It’s become more dangerous after COVID. I would only do food delivery at this point. Or something that gets me a discount (like Grocery).

  7. I work at a large concert venue. The pay is not the best, but I get to see a lot of free shows, co-workers are cool and people watching is fun.
