In your opinion, what’s one trait all great men share?

  1. Charisma. You aren’t great until you attract millions of loyal followers willing to die for you.

  2. An understanding of the opposition. They will talk about the opposition (that most will take as a generic truth) then offer a counter viewpoint.

  3. Ambition.

No great man silently coasted through life and received notoriety for it.

Unfortunately, ambition is also a trait of a lot of terrible men, so your mileage may vary.

  4. Honesty and patience. My grandfather is the greatest man I know, and those two traits always stand out to me.

  5. A man’s drive to achieve things is tied into his sex drive. Just like pure joy and sadness are tied together.

  6. Good manners: Manners Maketh Man.

And Loyalty. Not blind loyalty but mutual loyalty.

  7. I don’t think they had/have anything in common, except being great and being men.

  8. Being kind but not a pushover.

Jimmy Carter and JFK come to mind along with Jack Black and Robim Williams.

  9. All great men are bad men. They need some of the following characteristics or else they are just good people. Greatness means being to do the things others can’t or won’t do and most people are limited by their inherent morality. The greatest men in history almost always exhibit;

-Arrogance: A sense of superiority or self-importance that can lead to dismissing the opinions of others or a lack of empathy.

-Ruthlessness: A willingness to engage in harsh or cruel actions in pursuit of goals, without regard for the consequences or the well-being of others.

-Manipulation: Using deception, coercion, or other underhanded tactics to influence others for personal gain or to achieve specific objectives.

-Egotism: A focus on self-promotion and self-interest, often at the expense of others.

-Impulsiveness: Making hasty decisions without fully considering the consequences or potential risks involved.

-Intolerance: An unwillingness to accept or respect the opinions, beliefs, or values of others, which can lead to conflict or discrimination.

-Obsession: A single-minded focus on a particular goal or ambition, often to the detriment of other aspects of life, such as personal relationships or mental health.

The other qualities mentioned in this thread are important, but if you want to be written about in history books or change the world, being truly great means embracing your dark side.

  10. Define “great”.

    Alain Turing? Maxwell? Hitler? Zuckerberg?

Or is it Steve Jobs? Wozniak?

    All are different.

    Define “great”.

  11. How well they control there temper.

And how much they preach there ideas,
And if they talk over yuh.
