Hi, I’m an IT security solution engineer.
And I’d like to ask your advice for dealing with stress from work.

Baseline of the story is, I feel helpless.

Every day, when I’m on work or not,
I have this feeling that I’m not making improvements to my work skill.
But rather, I’m being worse.

There’s always a customer screaming to solve problems that they do not know why or what’s happening both in and outside the counrty
(we have customer’s in foreign countries)

There’s always a job I cannot finish in time and have to delay it tomorrow.
(internal testing, sending mails, sending reports, translating technical documents and mail written in english for those don’t know english, ect)

There’s always my coworker who’s right next to me, whom I’m having trouble working with.
(we often have trouble reading each other’s intentions.
And it usually end by my coworker being mad, having a talk outside, accusing me it’s all my fault and won’t listen,
and learning how to deal with people like my coworker a bit more.
God it’s so much awful and lacking self-confidence when written)

To summarize, I’m in an synergistic cycle of
1. feeling bad for my self
2. Make a mistake or forget something
3. Someone get mad and I get yelled at
4. Feeling bad for myself
5. Repeat

I am considering quitting this job, but I’m trying overcome this
By making a chart of my skills(It knowledge, human interactions, documentations, ect) and comparing it on a monthly basis
I think an objective data for my performance will prove I’m just feeling helpless.

What do you guys think?
Do you think it’ll help with feeling helpless?
If not, can you give me an advice?
