What is a good opener to interact with a new person?

1. Compliment something on their outfit and then say “I’m ___”, by the way (fill in your name). They’ll usually respond back with their name and then you can keep the conversation going by discussing the environment you’re in — if it’s a party, how do you know the host, etc. Don’t overthink it… everyone’s looking to make friends and meet new people.
