I’m generally pretty extroverted and don’t struggle with social anxiety. I’m comfortable talking to most people in most situations. There are days where I feel energized, interested, and engaged when talking to others. Like I can’t stop rambling and feeling witty and smooth with my discourse, I could go on and on and feel a deep connection with someone. On other days, I feel like I have mental block when trying to come up with conversation. These are the same people in similar settings but just different outcomes. I’m not sure if it’s sleep and nutrition (like hunger, coffee, or sugar) or does it depend how social I am earlier in the day leading up to an event? It appears to be random and it can feel disappointing when I’m counted on to be social and it just doesn’t come out. What do you do to make sure you are in a talkative and social mood? Where you can just relax and ramble and have deep interesting conversations with someone.
