I’m 21m in college. Last year I met a girl towards the end of the semester and we began getting really close. In the fall we would hang out all the time and do stuff together. We began cuddling, holding hands, and having deep conversations. I decided to ask her out, but she said it is best if we just stay friends. I was disappointed. We decided to stay friends. I distanced myself from her for a while. She invited me over a few weeks ago and we have been hanging out again. Last weekend I was over her room; she starts cuddling with me and we eventually kiss multiple times. We never talked about it. Then tonight we hung out again. Just me and her. We went on a walk around campus, then got food and played Mario Kart. I really like her and enjoy being around her. I wish I could take this to the next level and have sex with her.

Tl;dr I have been reconnecting with a girl and I’m confused about our relationship

  1. I’d say the next time you’re cuddling and kissing try to progress to sex naturally. If she shoots you down, ask her what she’s looking for here. If she says that she still just wants to be friends, it’s fair to remind her that she already knew you were looking for more than that and walk away.

Either her feelings have changed or you’re wasting your time with someone who isn’t going to see you as more than a friend. If her feelings have changed, it could be that she’s comfortable engaging you in a FWB situation but not a bf/gf situation. But how would you feel about that? I get the sense that you’re invested in her emotionally, so how do you imagine it hitting you if you’re not the only dude she’s banging?
