He was my first love, we briefly dated when I was sixteen but he brokeup with me because he told me he wasn’t feeling the same.
He wanted to stay friends at the time but I was very hurt and I decided to cut all contact with him since the breakup. He moved on and I moved on.
Now he is in a 5 year relationship and I’m single, but some months ago he started liking my instagram stories. He likes the ones with my picture on it (like selfies) and the ones that is about my work.
Interesting thing is that on that 13 years that we have been apart he never made this kind of interaction before, although we follow each other on Instagram.
What he wants to do with that action, and why since he is still dating?

He is likely bored or disgruntled with his current situation and is starting to think about other options. He is putting out feelers with his past flings because those require less effort as far as breaking the ice and getting to know each other.
