i(F21) know this guy for a while now and im safe to say we are good friends (since none of us could actually confess except for some hints here and there) but today i mindlessly ended up buying a gift for him and realized that a similar thing might scare him off (especially with the fact that there s absolutely no reason behind it i simply got it for it made me think of him) and some friends of mine told me that its not the best thing to do since it might put pressure on him or whatever…i just want you guys opinions on this situation

My advice is to ask someone on a date sooner rather than later
They say yes. They say no I don’t see myself dating you. Or they say let’s get to know each other better first.
It’s better than having growing feelings and then getting hurt later.
My advice is also to talk to multiple people at first. Pursuing one person at a time is inefficient.
Instead it should be while you’re waiting for replies on one you’re talking to another. You’ll find someone much faster this way. And it usually turns out better for everyone involved.
