I don’t have SkyTV.
So in my Reddit feed of late an advert for Sky keeps coming up, where apparently you can select some TV and it’ll be with you _the very next day_!
That’s amazing! Way faster than having to wait until your favourite show gets re-aired months down the road.
Is Sky aware that Netflix, Prime, Disney+, NowTv, Paramount+, AppleTv et al also offer a similar service, but with a delay of seconds rather than tens of hours?
What am I missing here? Is this just a poorly worded advert for some awesome SkyTV feature that makes sense to those that have it, or is Sky just so far behind the curve they’re not even aware there _is_ a curve?

It’s next day delivery for the Sky Stream device.
Programmes are downloaded and available seconds after you select them.
I don’t think it’s Sky that are the problem here…
What you’re missing is the “next day” part is referring to the sky stream box they’ll send you.
It streams over your internet rather than using a dish so you don’t need to wait for a dish to be installed.
I’ve seen the adverts, and it’s pretty clear what they’re talking about.

I think they are comparing it to getting a satalite dish installed or virgin cable
You do realise that by some shows, they means ones that have already been broadcast, or shows they have bought in a deal with Netflix, or the handful of shows Sky make themselves
