Why would a guy be hesitant online to go on a voice call or send voice note on a group chat?

3. I don’t feel comfortable showing my face on a group call or a voice note in a public chat. It makes me feel self conscious since I’m able to play it back or see myself.

4. by being shy? i gotta fight every bone in my body if i’m joining a public voice chat with complete strangers

8. I am this guy and I am very self conscious about my voice. I never talked much, I stumble around and get lost in words and I feel my voice can be weird.

15. As for me, i’m not native speaking, have severe social anxiety and trauma from bullying so if someone tries to push me for voice i’ll nope out

16. I don’t like how my voice sounds. Girl I was talking to sent me a voice message so tried to record one as well but kept having to re record because voice sounded weird

17. Why not? I feel like you already made up a reason in your mind (“the person might be a girl”) and are just looking for people that reinforces your idea. There’s many reasons possible and it doesn’t really matter what that reason is. Just respect people’s choices
