How do you accept money that someone offers to pay

1. Don’t overthink it, they’re taking responsibility for something they’ve done so any acceptance with a thank you should be fine… I would say:

   “that would be really appreciated, thank you”

2. That is redundant and unappreciative. It is not actually rude to state very clearly and without mincing words, that you need someone to repay.
