Hi everyone,
I’m wondering if anyone would be interested in participating in social skills challenges. I’m not talking about anything too crazy, just small things that can help us improve our social skills. For example, we could challenge ourselves to:
\- Start a conversation with a stranger every day.
\- Give a compliment to someone every day.
\- Join a club or group that interests us.
\- Attend a social event by ourselves.

These are just a few ideas, but I’m open to other suggestions. The point is to do something that challenges us to step outside of our comfort zone and interact with others.
If you’re interested in participating, please let me know in the comments, so we can somehow arrange our challenge activity)
Thanks!

  1. I can say, from experience, complimenting others helps. After I complimented a stranger, I felt like my confidence immediately increased and that it was a nice thing to do even though the person didn’t hear me at first.

Also the idea of attending social event on my own really helped. I’ve been to the metal concert. My parents were very convinced it is a very bad idea, and would say awful things will happen to me, but I sticked to my own mind, a mind that collected needed knowledge about metal events. It was the best time of my life. I’m very proud I pushed away the fear my parents tried to put into me. And the concert showed me that I can actually enjoy my own time with a lot of strangers around me and that nothing bad has to happen.

  2. Sounds like a good idea.
But I’m like trying to put a cat into a bath tub with social challenges.
I’ll just try everything not to go in.

  3. I’ve been watch Gundam: Witch from Mercury. One of the quirks of the main character is having a list of everything she wanted to do at school, down to singular events like performing in front of people.

Visualizing goals is definitely a trick to meeting then.

  4. Great!
I see that a lot of interested people, so question is – do you know some platforms for challenges, so we can track our progress?
I suggest format can be short daily videos
