Usually my bf and I FaceTime each other goodnight and talk for a few until one of us goes to bed. This time he called me to say goodnight but a few moments later he was a bit adamant on ending the call soon. Which is unusual because he said he just called to quickly say goodnight. But during our call, I over heard his brother talking about smoking. Which I figured why he wanted to end the call so early so he could smoke with his brother. My boyfriend already acknowledges that I really don’t like him smoking because whenever he does, he isn’t really attentive to our conversation. I was trying to engage and ask him about his day but he replied with an annoyed tone. He hung up the call and said he’ll call me back but it’s been 2 hrs since then and I’ve been waiting. I don’t think he will but this made me really upset. I do understand that he likes to smoke but I’m not a fan of it when he’s high and wants to converse. How do I approach this situation? I’m not sure if I’m overreacting and need some advice.

Sounds like you have your answer. He wanted to smoke, knows you don’t like that he does, and so he tried to end the call quickly. I personally think smoking weed is disgusting and prioritizing it over talking to your girlfriend is pathetic.
