I messaged my former teacher when she retired and one of the things she messaged me back were “you made me cry, all these emotions”; is that an expression or did I actually make her cry? What context should I look for?

  2. Take this one at face value. If it really was a touching letter, there is a chance your teacher may have teared up. If it’s a message like “I’m dead, bruh” take it colloquially. Either way, I wouldn’t fixate on whether or not it was literal too much, the point is that she was touched.
