Information online is not helping, so I hope some of you can.

Is the risk of transmitting diseases higher when the reciever takes cum in their mouth? How about swallowing it? Obviously there’s also pre-cum, but I would guess the risk is less than taking the final load, right?

Also, does it depend on the desease? Since some of them are transmitted through skin to skin or blood, maybe the risk doesn’t change that much, but if they’re transmitted through the semen/saliva, is there more difference in the risk?

If you can give me resources with information on these questions it would be great too.

As someone who usually choses to not use protection during oral (being aware of the risks), it would be useful to know what makes it even more risky.

Hope you can answer my questions. Thanks!

  1. Yes. Gonorrhea can infect the throat and can be transmitted through oral sex.

Herpes and chlamydia are also transmissible through semen in the throat / , as is HIV, though that has to be a pretty perfect storm of variables.
