Yes! Writing down your thoughts/feelings really does help. Writing helps you clearly articulate how you feel, rather than your body simply holding those emotions. Maybe develop a different perspective on things, or see patterns of behavior.
Yes, it helps immensely. Ive been doing it for years, whether just writing my thoughts down straight, or in the form of poetry. What really helps me is when Im mad, or feel any other extreme emotion, I will write it down, wait for me to cool off, then read it again in a different mindset, that helps me decipher where I need help, also helps me if I had planned to send a text or call about it, I will do that beforehand before I get into something I couldve avoided had I waited for my mind to clear. I say keep doing it.
