For context I’ve been trying to move in to a new house I’ve signed a lease to rent with him and a few other friends of mine for almost a month now. The reason I haven’t moved in yet is because when I very first mentioned it, there was an open room, but he said he was going to move into said open room from the room he is in currently. Now I totally understand wanting to move into a new room and respect that. But whenever I mention if he’s had a chance to start moving things into this open room, every time he comes up with an excuse saying he was busy. But at the same time I see him online on Discord actively playing games for 90% of the time he has said he’s been busy. I’ve offered to help him move into this room but he keeps dodging my offer and for the past 2 weeks has been dodging questions I ask him about moving in general.
Now normally I wouldn’t really care, but I work remote and the internet at my current apartment is quite bad, and as a result I can’t connect and chat in several zoom meetings I have daily. As a result I’ve been driving 40+ minutes down to my parents house to work there and spending a large amount of money on gas. I hate confronting people but I’m starting to get a little passed off that he hasn’t taken the time to say anything about his progress. I’ve told him that if he doesn’t want to move into the other room I’d be happy too. But I’ve had my stuff pretty much completely packed for the entire time I’ve been asking him about this. Am I being unreasonable in wanting to move in? Or what should I do in this case?
