Me and my girlfriend just became official a few weeks ago and we are having sex multiple times a day when we hang out. We use lube because she will get sore if we don’t. She’s been complaining that she is still having pain and from what I’m seeing, it looks like lube should only be used while using a condom? If anyone has any recommendations for a certain brand or type of lube that won’t be harmful to use without a condom please let me know!

  1. Definitely get a silicone lube. This one works well and condom safe. Wet Platinum Silicone Based Lube, 4.2 oz Bottle, Premium Personal Luxury Lubricant, Men, Women & Condom Compatible Water Resistant Non Sticky Hypoallergenic Paraben Free https://a.co/d/fpgBoDD

  2. Water based always. Lubelife is pretty good. Be careful as some lubes contain chemicals found in hand sanitizer. Experiment. The wrong stuff can hurt her even without you involved.

  3. Water based in general is always my go to, but specifically, I really prefer Sliquid brand. It does its job perfectly and doesn’t have glycerin or other additives that can irritate your bits.

  4. Use a good water based lube. We are HUGE fans of astroglide gel – it’s thick, stays around a long time. Is great not just for sex but for toys, anal, fisting…

  5. Lube or no lube, invest in more foreplay. Vaginas need time to warm up (how much depends on her), unlike its male counter part. Water and silicone based are good. Silicone doesn’t break down as much but it can stain fabrics to be mindful of that. As a vagina owner, I prefer water based, but no harm in tried a few…. after you’ve warmed her up properly.

  6. Check out EasyGlide. So far seems to be good enough and they have multiple variants, like cold, warming, natural. Those are water based.

  7. As others have said – water based lube is the way to go!

Silicone based lube is risky with condoms / toys / etc. – they can react and cause the condom / toy materials to “melt” / have other bad reactions (silicone material + silicone lube is a no-go), but water-based lube is universally ok to use!

Afaik lube should be used regardless of condom or not – and if normal water-based lube isn’t working, you may want to look into clear cumlube since that tends to be thicker / keep moisture longer than refular lubes imo. (Just make sure she / y’all both pee after sex with it since the thicker formula could make for harder cleanup / easier UTIs / etc.)
