So I 30M met 40F and it has been pretty clear since the start that we both want to hook up occasionally. We’ve hung out a few times and have done some stuff together.
She has invited me to have sex with her but I’m afraid of getting her pregnant. She has an IUD already but I still feel super anxious. I feel like I will just be worried the whole time.
I would wear a condom anyways. Any reason for me to avoid this or am I over reacting?

Your fears are your feelings, and your feelings are valid. Statistically you should be rather safe from pregnancy with a 40 year old woman on an IUD, if you combine the pullout method and or condoms it really can’t get much safer. But anything is possible.
I think talking aloud with a friend who is a good listener may help you. I think positive encouragement from someone you trust would help your anxiety.

You aren’t overreacting. I’m also anxious about unplanned pregnancies. I also use condoms so I can see that they worked even when other methods are being used.
