I (30f) just discovered that NPC streamers are a thing that exist—basically, streamers (generally young, pretty women) who go live and just give set responses to certain things people can pay to send, like interacting with an NPC in a video game. Ex: you pay to send them a virtual ice cream cone and they say “ice cream, yum yum!” Definitely a fetish thing and a way for those women to market/promo their OnlyFans.
I have no issue with it and respect their hustle, but just thought the concept was weird in a kind of funny way and told my wife (28f) about it.
Her response? “I just don’t get the appeal. Go outside and get a partner. I can interact with a hot girl and see her naked in my own house for free every day.”
That was 100% the correct response—we’ve been together for nearly a decade and it still got me flustered. How has your spouse flirted with you today?

I have a very emotionally and spiritually draining job that is a near-daily dumpster fire. My husband goes out of his way to find and send cool pictures. Not memes and shit, like actual pictures of things I like. I’ve travelled a lot, and he’ll send pictures of cities I’ve mentioned who’s skylines I fell in love with. Or pictures of cute dogs and stuff. Sometimes he’ll throw in an article that I’d find interesting, and today he sent me a picture of our kids playing with the dogs.
Its in those little moments I get to just take a second and appreciate that he’s thinking about, and missing me. And even when I have a literal crazy person outside my office door, screaming their head off, it brings me peace to know I’m loved and eagerly awaited at home by my best friend.
