Regular mail no but yes for priority shipping and maybe some other stuff
Yes.
It’s still limited, but the service is increasing.
Packages started coming in on Sundays a few years back. I got mail mail day before yesterday (Sunday UTC-7) for …the first time? Don’t know how new that is or if it’s related to that I had a package to be delivered Sunday. But if they’re delivering Sunday, it’s hella new.
I think it depends on the mail type and your location.
The USPS delivers overnight mail and Amazon packages on Sundays.
Yes. It’s not every Sunday but I’ve been noticing postmen out and about on Sunday’s the last couple of years or so own
Not regular mail but occassionally you’ll get a package delivered on a Sunday.
We don’t get mail on Sundays.
I barely even get mail delivered on weekdays. The post office is understaffed.
The USPS will deliver last-mile service packages (FedEx, UPS, etc.) packages on a Sunday, but not first class or priority mail.
Amazon packages.
For most of my life, absolutely never.
But over the last few years, we’ve started getting packages on Sundays. Not letters though.
Yes in my neighborhood I get mail on sundays.
Generally no but I think there’s some package delivery on Sunday’s depending on location.
USPS has a contract with Amazon and will deliver packages on Sundays (I think the letter carriers get overtime pay for Sunday) but regular mail is Monday-Saturday
No regular mail from the US postal service on Sunday but sometimes packages might be delivered on a Sunday.
Not the federal post but private companies will. USPS will also do it if the private companies pay them.
As a letter carrier at USPS, I can explain the situation a little. Years ago, we signed a terrible contract with Amazon that required us to deliver their packages 7-days a week. So, the position of CCA (city carrier assistant) was created. CCA’s are the starting carrier position at the USPS.
CCA’s cover routes when people are out for illness or vacation, AND they deliver Amazon packages on Sundays. Well, since they’re already working on Sundays, at some locations, they also have them deliver other packages on Sundays. Oh, and since we’ve been short-staffed for 5+ years, sometimes regular full-time carriers are forced to give up their Sunday off in order to come in and deliver Amazon packages. Sure, the regular carriers make a little more per hour on Sundays, but they are also being forced to give up time with their friends and families.
In some areas, staffing is so bad (and nothing is being done to improve it) all the mail that should go out during the week can’t be delivered, so CCA’s and carriers do that on Sundays now too. In short, USPS management is intentionally short-staffing their offices or is so incompetent that offices have been severely understaffed for over half-a-decade and stuff needs to get out so it all falls on to the backs of the carriers like everything else at the post office. But then again, carriers aren’t seen as people by management, so its okay.
No. It’s Monday thru Saturday here in my city, Illinois.
We do not get mail on Sundays.
And wtf is “Post”
Mail? No.
Amazon Packages delivered by Amazon drivers? Yes.
The answer is, we don’t know.
The USPS seems to have started delivery on Sundays. But they haven’t announced it or anything.
We don’t. The mail services don’t deliver on Sundays. It’s good because the delivery people get a day off.
