Just as the title says, I gave someone head and the next day I got a nasty cold sore under my tongue. It’s been two days now and it’s still there, should I be concerned and/or get tested? Its someone I’ve been trying to go for for a while but now I’m a bit worried. Thanks!

Edit: Thank you for educating me, I’m still a bit of a noob when it comes to this stuff so very appreciate of the feedback!

  1. No. You haven’t had enough time to contract something and it show symptoms in one day. If you have a cold sore, it’s because you already have HSV-1 – which is an incredibly common virus that many people contract as children or infants.

  2. Cold sores caused by herpes don’t appear inside the mouth.

What your experiencing is a canker sore which is not the same thing at all

  3. This. Canker sores are usually caused by trauma such as aggressively brushing your teeth or sucking dick. I used to get them from sucking sour candy.

  4. If you’re able to see it in the mirror or such I think you need to Google “canker sore” and “cold sore” and see which one you have. As someone else said, this sounds like a canker sore which has nothing to do with HSV. And if it is a cold sore, you most likely did not contract it from the experience you are referencing.
