So I have been testing multiple different apps and most have outrageous prices for messaging, features and such but I don’t want to break my wallet. I also don’t want to use an app that isn’t popular. So I use tinder, hinge and Facebook dating. Are these okay to use? How are people (mostly males) getting replies? How has dating been for each person? I’m not a very outgoing person so I prefer to chat online before meeting but I’m starting to think I might have to be to like a bar or event to meet people or women which I don’t have the best social approach. Just trying to get help with dating again.

  1. It all about looks and pictures on dating apps for the most part.

Look at the swipehelper subreddit to get a feel for what kind of pics you should and shouldn’t have. You should try to have them figured out before you start your account so your ELO score doesn’t drop fast and put you at the bottom of the stack.

Tinder is the most superficial of the bunch. It seems more like a meat market than a dating app sometimes but anything can happen I guess.

On bumble ladies message first. Less matches and conversations than tinder in my experience.

Hinge is geared towards relationships and serious dating. I’ve never tried it but it seems like it’s growing in popularity
