Long story short, met him on hinge last year in nyc and I told him I liked him, he didn’t like me back, he visited Toronto and told me he liked me 3 months later, I didn’t like him. Fast forward to 5 months later I visit nyc again.. I drunkenly told him I still liked him LMAO. Obviously life happened in between but this was the timeline.
during my last visit I was crashing at his place along with my friend who he just met for the first time. She’s one of my closest friends ^^. Anyways, he doesn’t really talk to me anymore, and even if I try he doesn’t really continue. And all of a sudden today, he messages my friend out of the blue asking for dating advice? She called me and said they aren’t that close and it’s not like they talk on a regular basis.
I’m visiting nyc in a few weeks and I plan on meeting up with him and his friend (who I met when they visited me, his friend is really chill and for the most part we keep in contact) however, I just find the timing so weird. That my convo ended with him and he randomly starts messaging my friends paragraphs on his girl problems, finding an “objective” plan, and whether he should she plan a 3rd date.
It’s not like he doesn’t have friends, my friend doesn’t even live in nyc 😭 we’re both in Canada. So out of all people, I find it odd he’s asking his ex hinge dates friend who he met once for advice?
Any reason why he’d do this? 😭
Tldr; we both liked each other at different times. He met my friend for the first time and is now asking her for advice in detail randomly even though they aren’t that close.
