Hi,

when I was just a few years younger (26-29), I was deeply interested even in small things. My favorite thing to discover was obscure pieces of classic literature (Curzio Malaparte, Vonnegut, Primo Levi), watching captivating movie classics, and visiting new restaurants and cafés simply for the “thrill” (two quotes, three parentheses – I mean there is just so much excitement you can get from lounging in a new place) of discovering something new.

As I got over 30, this desire to discover new, albeit mundane thingsm started to shrink, conformity starts to strike and **I hate it!** Instead of discovering new stuff, going to a new place or to a cinema alone, I would rather go to the same joint, or play the same PC games. I seriously need to fight this boredom epidemic, and do not want to become this bored guy that does the same rituals every day. The way you spend your days is how you spend your life. YMMV, of course, I don’t want to offend anyone. It’s just not something for me.

To me, it’s just crazy that this happened in the span of so few years!

My question is: Did this happen to you, and what helped you overcome it?
