If someone asks from where did I get something personal (ex- a diamond jewelry) and I want to avoid giving specifics so that she cannot browse and know the price how to respond without being rude?

  1. I just often say I don’t remember. I also hate showing off so most of the times I downplay stuff like that. I just say I got this from a friend or family or I just don’t remember the price of anything.
