Sorry this isn’t really sex advice, but I wasn’t sure where else to ask.

I really really really like the smell of men’s deodorant and body spray, and my boyfriend always smells so good, but I hate women’s perfume and body sprays. They all just smell like straight chemicals to me, nothing like they’re meant to.

How can I improve my scent? I want to stress I don’t have bad hygiene or smell bad, I don’t reuse clothes between washes, I wash my hair a couple of times per week and use hair oil and dry shampoo between washes, I shower daily with nicely scented soap but I feel like that doesn’t linger on the skin very long, and I just use roll on deodorant because the spray stuff stinks to high heavens.

I don’t think I smell bad, I just don’t think I smell like anything. I wanna smell as good for my bf as he smells to me 🙈

  1. You should go to a perfume store and try out some of the men’s colognes, some of them can be feminine enough for a girl to get away with, however, most guys like the smell of girl’s perfumes because they want their girlfriend to smell like a girl lol 😅

  2. I (32f) have always worn cologne rather than perfume. It 100% does NOT stop men from hitting on me, right along with the ring on my finger, and holding my wife’s hand.

  3. Nice smelling shampoo. My wife and I cuddle quite a bit and I love the smell of her hair. It’s subtle enough of a smell you probably notice it less through the day, but I think pretty hair that smells nice is severely underrated.

  4. Homemade rose water might be cool if you like roses. Just put rose petals in a pot with distilled water and simmer for 20 minutes and then put in a spray bottle. not sure how long it’ll keep for.

Shampoo can be enough. I still remember the cherry shampoo a girl had on 10 years ago.

    scented chapstick?

  5. Body powder/dusting powder.

All over the body. It’s long lasting and cooling without being over powering and also makes sheets smell nice when sleeping.

After a shower, powder your whole body. It’s moisturizing too & absorbs very quickly. I also put powder in my shoes when I put them in and after I take them off. Amazing in underwear too. Traditional baby powder scents, lush has a nice one, and you can diy.

Be sure to stick to cornstarch based powders though.

  6. Just wear mens cologne and deodorant? I have since I was about 15 and I always get complimented on how I smell haha

  7. Bath and body works body cream. They have a millions scents, include masculine ones. And the scent lasts a long time on the skin. Put it on thick. You know how you put on lotion and rub it in so it’s not “wet” feeling? Well put on a lot and leave it not completly dry. Rub it in so you can’t see it, but it still feels kind of wet. It will soak in and the scent will be strong and your skin will be so soft too.
