Ok so this happened on Saturday night. My GF had come over to help me celebrate moving into a new apartment. We each had taken a gummy edible (very little experience with drugs). After it started to kick in we started getting intimate. However while we were having sex and getting a little rougher I felt the sudden sensation that I bent my penis. I didn’t hear any noise, didn’t feel any pain but it startled me and kind of took me out of the moment. I continued for a little bit after but soon my erection was gone.

I spent the rest of the night being really anxious and worried about what happened (weed probably didn’t help) . When I woke up the next morning I was able to get hard and ejaculate. I contemplated going to the Emergency Room but I went to an urgent care instead and they told me that I shouldn’t worry too much. However I’ve been worrying about it constantly and I have managed to have sex a few times since however my erections are barely hard at all now, it gets bigger but not much harder (enough for penetration). Just enough that it makes me worried.

Should I go to the ER? I don’t think it’s penile fracture because I felt no pain, no blood in urine, no difficulty urinating and no visible swelling or soreness at all. I’m thinking my increased nerves have just been making my erections weaker as a result. Any advice?

  1. It’s very good that you’ve experienced no pain and have no symptoms of a penile fracture. It sounds like you had a very frightening experience and you are still feeling the emotional repercussions. You’ve had some feedback from medical professionals that you are well, and experienced erections since your mishap. To ease your worries i might suggest refraining from sex and masturbation for a day or two, focusing on hobbies and other interests, and pleasuring your partner. See how you experience arousal during this time. If after this time to relax and ease off on worries you still have trouble gaining erections consider contacting your primary care physician and ask them about your concerns.

If you experience serious pain, unusual swelling or difficulty urinating definitely DO go to the urgent care or ER. For the time being it sounds like you are doing well:-) Take care!
