Sounds like a bit of selfishness mixed with insecurities. This already sounds like he doesn’t really respect you enough.
Do your part and communicate what you desire and how you feel about stuff. If he’s worth your time, he’ll prove it by listening, understanding, and attempting to do better. If he won’t, he’s not worth your time and you deserve better.

As a guy there’s no way in hell I want another guy involved, it’s just ick. This is kind of a douche bag thing to say, but other than that I don’t think it’s uncommon for most guys to not be willing to have an MMF threesome. I’m not big on the idea of a threesome personally but if I ever did it’d be MFF, never MMF.
