Be a horder.
If it’s a laser printer then no. If it’s an inkjet then there’s usually a couple of stepper motors and linear rails you could salvage for a hobby project.
Give him a job doing something else? He’d probably make a good copywriter.
If you have a recycling centre locally, there’s usually containers for electronic appliances, where they’ll then strip it for components and recycle them
Currys or other big electrical retailer will take them for recycling under WEEE.
Whatever you do. Do not put your dick in it. Ooft.
Donate to one of those smash room places? I’d love to smash up a printer
Set it to e-waste recycling. Either take it to a local recycling centre, or Currys who will take any electronics (or portable electricals) for recycling.
Take it to the tip, most of them have a WEEE skip. Electrical shops will do WEEE too
Councils offer a system to collect waste like that and recycle, but you pay.
Or if you’re near me, vaguely put it visbility of the street, and it will vanish
Facebook marketplace for free too
What’s the make and model please?
What kind of printer is it and does it still work?
Certain old printers are desirable as they function with third-party ink.
So I think /u/airwalkerdnbmusic is quite right to ask and that was my first thought too.
In case it is no use to anyone, then there are actually a lot of community computer reuse projects that need them.
Set it on fire on the beach
Currys just has a drop off point by the door for recycling, I’ve not had issues just walking in and leaving stuff.
