It’s the third time I notice this already.

And when these people were my friends well I thought it was kinda normal.

But a stranger I’ve just met?

Weird.

Opinions ?

  1. people mirror others

sometimes people start taking on the accent or speaking pattern of someone theyre speaking with

its just part of being human

  2. Honestly I think it’s unconscious a lot of the time.
I notice I only do it with certain people now that I’m aware of it. I think it only happens when we have the same type of vibe. Certain people’s texting styles actually bother me hahah

  3. We don’t do it on purpose, but it happens.

Personally I want to match other people’s energy and so my style will also be the same as theirs.

Not because I want to mirror them, I just don’t want to be too energetic for example.

    Or too low.

But this is only my opinion.

  4. there’s quite a few answers
    1) your texting style could be fun and they wanna join the fun
    2) to create rapport (same as above kinda)
    3) they want something from you (in a business scenario it’s a sales tactic)
    4) they’re attracted to you

  5. I do this but in one way, if im texting someone and they have auto caps off, I type with no caps. I do this because if i type with auto caps it makes me feel authoritative and it just looks better flow wise.

  6. That’s just what humans do. It isn’t weird, it’s actually normal. We do this as a form of connection
