I (16M) know a local politician (33M) in real life for over a year. He was my neighbor at my dad’s place (my parents aren’t together anymore) and before I even knew he was a politician I talked to him a few times when I met him at the house and he was very friendly. So I have basically always been into politics, since I was just a little kid (like 8 years old) and I asked him for an interview, and he accepted and after that we met up/saw each other like 5 more times together. Altough now he is unfortunately gone and we have a new neighbor (he just moved like 200 meters away, so I can just walk over there). He is now living in the apartment of a (very) good family friend of ours and my uncle is his landlord, and he also knows my parents and my grandfather and of course my uncle. So we’re not just some strangers. Since I am into politics I added him on Facebook (sent him a friend request), altough he didn’t accept it yet and I think he’s active on Facebook. I sent the request almost a week ago. How long should I wait? I know he can add whoever he likes but it would be kinda weird for him not to accept you know? And what could be the reasons he would not accept it? My age? He is friends with like 18-19 y/o’s on FB aswell, does the minor age really make a difference or do you think it might be totally something else? Maybe the problem is not even my age? He literally has hundreds of friends on FB
