I’ve learned to manage. What do you usually do in these situations?

Yeah.. if you mean starting somewhere where people already know each other and you start later. Hard to get there when already socially skilless
Well breaking in to groups that are already established is literally hard task ! But can be done !
Look at the group dynamics !
Are they accommodating ? ( do new members get attention naturally ?)
Are there any member who casually swing by and leaves ? ( then it is a flexible group )
Does the group have any internal politics cooking inside ? ( then stay away … toxic group )
If all criterias are met ! Then make an attempt to be part of it by individually engaging with every one in the group … like getting to know them !
People are different individually and different in groups !
