All the women I know are able to buy a bunch of stuff and basically make several outfits out of less than £100 from shein etc

What are your go to places to get stylish clothes? I like Zara/Next. But not at £40 a polo..

Cheers!

  1. I buy everything on depop and vinted but my style is 80s new romantic and vampire goth.

  2. I shop around.

Yoox, Stilett, Singolare, Uniqlo, The Allotment and whatever good finds turn up on eBay.

  3. Buy a decent pair of jeans from Zara, the physical shop not the website and then order a multipack of different coloured T-shirts on ASOS.

    £100ish and you’ve got 8 different outfits.

    Easy peasy.

  4. I can honestly say I’ve never bought any clothing off the internet. Then again I don’t really give much of a toss about clothing and just buy what I need, when I need it (and not before!), usually from a supermarket.

  5. M&S is the go-to (better than Next imo), Uniqlo is a second pace to check but they’re more of a mixed bag because some of their stuff has strange fits and sizes.

  6. Hollister are great, but get a bit samey when you have quite a few of their items

  7. I used to take a trip to Camden town in London, was the best alternative clothing area around but it turned to shit 20ish years ago and now I just order online, where online? Random places, where ever I find something in a style I like

  8. Mostly Quiksilver and DC Shoe Co for casual stuff. Levi’s for jeans. Next for formal workwear. Charles Tyrwhitt for nicer “out out” clothing, plus some Boss and Ralph Lauren stuff for fancy occasions.

  9. I’m female, they probably go to Primark – £100, wouldnt get much for that in the likes of Zara etc. Primark have a men’s section too.

  10. I don’t. I just tell friends and family who are female to buy me clothes for Xmas and bday. Haven’t bought anything for years.

  11. I get most of my stuff from charity shops/ebay, I usually buy Fjallraven if I want something higher quality

  12. EBay for s/h Tommy Hilfiger.

The quality is just so good as long as they are subtle to no branding, not worried about the name as much as knowing the quality is consistent.

  13. I source most clothes from Primark, Next, TKMax and most are good quality ones. I believe what matters is considering items on a case-by-case basis. For example, I have paid ~£30 for a shirt at Next that was too baggy and in uncomfortable synthetic material; whereas a pure cotton, perfect-fitting shirt at Primark only costed me £10. So for me it’s all about constantly checking in-store and sometimes online, with an open mind.

  14. Cotton traders do good quality stuff and once you buy from them they love to send you promo codes. 2 for £30 on polo shirts and they are long fit which is great for my weird long body 😂

  15. TKMaxx is my favourite, but it’s a gamble on whether there’ll be anything you like or not.
