Condoms are usually coated. This coating makes UTI’s extremely likely. If you haven’t used them much, this is pretty normal. While condoms are usually good at preventing STDs and pregnancy, it is a foreign object entering you and with any foreign object, you run the risk of a UTI.
I had a former partner that often got UTIs after sex, then when she got an IUD and we stopped using condoms she never did.
So hard to say for sure, but it’s definitely possible.
