How do I network, market, and make friends without social media?

I don’t like how addictive, attention-grabbing and reducing, and, in some cases sexualized, social media is. I’m aware Reddit counts as social media, but there’s not a social media free alternative to Reddit, including Chat-GPT which I don’t trust (not that I’m anti-technology).
