When I’m waiting at the drive thru window I usually pretend to look at my phone or look ahead. If I look at the window too long I think the workers would be irritated that I’m staring at them. However sometimes I just want to see how my food is being handled or why they’re holding onto my credit card for so long. It makes me wonder what other people do when they find themselves waiting a couple minutes at the window.

Look wherever you want. As a person who has worked fast food, the last thing we’re wondering about is where the person is looking at. We’re mostly concentrating on trying to not fuck up the order and do it as fast as possible
I’m usually flipping through the radio stations. Never really thought about it, lol!
You have the right to stare at them dead straight in the eyes. You shouldn’t care if they get irritated or not, they can’t spit on your food while you’re looking at them. BUT, if he/she spits on your food while both your eyes are locked in on each other then I’m giving that crew a giant trophy.
