How did you know you were having a nervous breakdown?

I don’t really have anything to compare it to, fortunately. I’d assume an unsupportive partner wouldn’t attend appointments, wouldn’t go out and get me food when I had hilariously weird cravings, wouldn’t find me attractive, wouldn’t laugh and joke with me, wouldn’t help out around the house when I’m too big/clutzy/tired to do it, etc. And honestly, I wouldn’t have had a kid with someone like that because it’s indicative of how they’d be once the baby arrives and I required a partner, not someone else I’d have to parent.
I was pregnant during Covid and had to go to all my appointments by myself without my partner. It was really hard and felt really lonely. It was also literally terrifying to be pregnant during the pandemic. Along with all that going on, my baby daddy was very angry and abusive. He would yell in my face, punch his hand next to my face like he was gonna hit me, tell me he wishes I had an abortion and was very explosive. It made my pregnancy even more stressful and I felt trapped especially with the pandemic going on. After my daughter was born he continued to be abusive. He ended up threatening to kill me and that’s when I left. I left him 2 years after she was born. If your partner isn’t supportive during your pregnancy that’s the biggest red flag they can show you. Unfortunately I learned this the hard way.
