I have an interview for a nannying gig and I need to somehow make it clear/ask if it would be possible for me to go on a trip to Europe with my family for about a week in July. How should I phrase this? It seems like a lot to ask from a brand new nanny. Should I cancel the interview? Should I just skip the trip? I don’t know what to do.

  1. You’re going on a trip, for one week, 7 months from now?

Don’t ask. Just tell them, “next July, I have a 1 week vacation to Europe planned with my family, otherwise I am wide open.”

Even nanny’s should get time off.
